Yesterday afternoon traffic flow to our Facebook page came to a stop. For some time we thought that perhaps there was a technical error. None of the active page Administrators had received any notice of any problem. It wasn't until tonight than a typically inactive Admin got a pop-up on sign-in stating that our page had been unpublished for "repeated" policy violations. They were the only person to get this pop up, and it never appeared again. Nevertheless, this would explain the total lack of traffic to our normally very active page. There is typically interaction 24-7. Admins still have access to the page, but some utilities are coming back with error messages and are not functional, confirming that the page has indeed been banned from Facebook. That is, despite the fact that Facebook themselves is telling us otherwise, in contradiction to their notice to one Admin on sign-in.
We can only guess that perhaps the timing is not coincidence, and that they did not want our page to be used as a platform to discuss the Second Amendment. Again, we received no notice, no warnings, no explanation, and none of our Administrator accounts were banned. Reports to Facebook have gone unanswered.
